Overview

Outpacing attackers

 

Rapid7 builds cybersecurity technology that helps organisations identify vulnerabilities and prevent cyber-attacks before they happen. Their platform aggregates data across cloud infrastructure, devices and applications, enabling security teams to detect threats and respond quickly.

Rapid7 already had a strong and established global Talent Acquisition team in place. However, during a period of accelerated growth across their go-to-market function, capacity became stretched. A member of our Boston House of Visionaries community introduced Bond to support the team during this ramp, providing additional delivery capability while maintaining flexibility through our embedded model.

An extension of the TA team

 

The immediate need was to scale GTM hiring quickly while maintaining quality and candidate experience. Bond embedded talent partners directly into the Rapid7 team across both the US and UK, working side by side with internal stakeholders over a five month journey.

Hiring activity spanned multiple regions and time zones, with roles filled across the US, UK, Japan, Sweden and Australia. Some positions filled by our UK team had been open for 12–18 months, reflecting the competitive nature of GTM hiring within the cybersecurity sector.

 

Upskilling the global TA team

 

Alongside delivery, a key focus for our partnership was capability development within Rapid7’s global TA function.

Bond designed a catalogue of training sessions that Rapid7 could select from based on their needs and priorities. From this, we designed and delivered bespoke training to the global team across 5 sessions, aimed at strengthening sourcing to an advanced standard and GTM hiring strategies

Training on how to explore advanced sourcing techniques and tools that expand talent reach beyond traditional platforms and unlock access to hidden candidate pools.

Strategies for discovering high-calibre developers in today’s competitive talent market.

 

Adding market insight

 

Bond also delivered salary benchmarking and market insight across the relevant roles, including talent mapping to identify geographic hotspots and emerging talent locations. This allowed the Rapid7 team to make more informed decisions around location strategy and compensation.

  • 58% reduction in agency spend
