As one of the largest global software companies in the world, Hexagon’s approach to attracting and engaging talent varied across different business functions. Some functions had dedicated internal talent teams, and others relied on agencies to hire.
Challenge:
Bond’s relationship with Hexagon began with one of its business units, a global leader in public safety software solutions, which required support to reduce its reliance on external agencies and improve internal processes to expedite the hiring process.
Another business unit identified the need for extra support in their existing talent function. Hexagon came to Bond to support hiring within the ALI teams across the EMEA region. Hexagon required us to focus on business critical hires and partner closely with the hiring community.
Our approach:
Bond’s approach was to partner closely with the hiring community to ensure complete alignment on requirements, which also gave us the opportunity to talent pool and consult with the hiring managers.
As an embedded member of the team, we ensured there was brand advocacy and that candidate experience was put at the forefront of all of our processes. We consulted with hiring managers on progress through regular data updates, challenges, and opportunities to expand the talent pool.
We also added value by becoming valued members of the team and sharing best practices with the existing talent acquisition team.
Solution:
The impact of Bond’s partnership with Hexagon was impressive. In the first two months, we were able to achieve 11 hires within one business unit. We also created and delivered a candidate pack that all members of the talent acquisition team could share with all interviewing candidates.
Additionally, we reduced the average time to hire to 17 days and the average time to offer to 7 days. Our hires spanned across Software engineering, Project management, QA, Devops, SRE, UX, sales, and finance.
